Vera Wang has named the annual Met Gala “the Olympics and Oscars of fashion.” And with good reason. Because it is. It’s become more star-filled than even the Vanity Fair Oscar party. The Met Gala is the single most important fashion event of the year. The annual ball, which formally kicks off the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s yearly Costume Institute exhibit, always brings in a flock of style stars and of course, some stunning couture.
